MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – HealthPartners is the highest ranked plan in overall member satisfaction in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Region, according to the J.D. Power 2016 U.S. Member Health Plan Study.

“Our organization’s focus is on delivering a fantastic member experience. We are committed to making people more healthy, making health care more affordable, and creating the best possible experiences for patients and members,” said Mary Brainerd, President and CEO. “It is exciting for us to know that our efforts are not only being noticed, but are also making a real difference for those we serve.”

HealthPartners scored highest in the region in five of the six factors evaluated by the study. Those factors include information and communications; provider choice; claims processing; customer service and coverage and benefits. The plan’s overall member satisfaction index is 45 points higher than the regional average.

“We are honored that members rank us highest in overall satisfaction,” said Scott Aebischer, HealthPartners senior vice president of customer service and product innovation. “It demonstrates the hard work we’re doing to improve health, experience and affordability. We want to give our members an exceptional experience with us, every time.”

The J.D. Power study gathers consumer feedback on health plans nationwide every year, with eight commercial health plans ranked in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Region. Consumers rate overall member experience based on six factors: coverage and benefits, provider choice, information and communication, claims processing, customer service and cost.

The 2016 Member Health Plan Study is based on responses from more than 33,000 members of 135 commercial health plans across 18 regions in the United States.
