Dr. Leah Hanson is the Senior Director of Research at HealthPartners Center for Memory & Aging. She received her B.S in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota. Since joining HealthPartners in 2000, Dr. Hanson authored many papers about treatment of Alzheimer's disease and invented many patents to develop drugs for preventing and treating Alzheimer's disease and other brain disorders. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters biking and gathering rocks along the shore of Lake Superior.
