I enjoy listening to people’s stories, thinking creatively and critically to solve complex problems, and working with patients to support them in their health goals as they navigate a complicated, intimidating medical system. In summary, being a patient is hard and scary. I want to make it less hard and less scary.
You can expect to be the leader of your care. What you say, want, need and know are important. I’ll listen to you, support you, and guide you as we work toward whatever health goals you’re trying to achieve. I’m deeply passionate about weight-neutral care and debunking the myths that diet culture has taught us. Patients who choose me as their clinician can expect me to care for them through a lens of weight neutrality. Under most circumstances, being weighed will be “opt-in” for adult patients. I won’t weigh you unless you ask to be weighed.
I love doing ceramics and other crafty projects. Being active outdoors with the people (and animals) I love gives me life! I really enjoy physical activity of nearly any sort – especially group exercise classes, walking, running, cross-country skiing, hiking and swimming. I like doing puzzles, eating yummy food and camping too. I’d be remiss not to mention hanging out with my partner, my mom, our dog, our cat and friends!
Moving my body in joyful ways, being outside, spending time with family, animals, and friends, doing ceramics, laughing, and getting good sleep are some of my favorite ways to stay healthy.

My friends and family would describe me as playful, free-spirited, creative, empathetic, intelligent and loving. They’d probably also mention something about my love for cats!
I told people I wanted to be one of three things: an astronaut, a pediatrician or the first woman president of the United States.
I love the seasons!
