HealthPartners President and CEO Andrea Walsh named 21st Century Pinnacle Leader by Women’s Health Leadership TRUST

October 27, 2020

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners President and CEO Andrea Walsh received the 21st Century Pinnacle Leader Award from the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST for her leadership and commitment to improving health care in the community. Walsh will be honored during the TRUST Annual Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The award recognizes Walsh’s outstanding contributions to improving and transforming health care in the community. Walsh has led HealthPartners in delivering more convenient, affordable solutions for patients and members, building partnerships across Minnesota and the Midwest, and improving the health of the community through collaborations that aim to reduce the stigma of mental illness, build brain development in young children and reduce health disparities.

“The Women’s Health Leadership TRUST is thrilled to present the 21st Century Pinnacle Leader Award to Andrea Walsh,” said Leslie Bodell, president of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST. “Andrea is known as a passionate transformer of health care, using her outstanding leadership to make a difference in the state of health care and in people’s lives. She continually paves the way for change within the industry, and she generously shares her wisdom and insights with fellow women leaders in health care, so we can rise together. It is for all of these reasons and more that the TRUST selected Andrea as this year's 21st Century Pinnacle Leader Award winner."

The TRUST established the 21st Century Pinnacle Leader Award to recognize women who are trailblazers in leadership, transformation and innovation in health care. The award is not given annually, but only when the TRUST wants to recognize a leader who has made an outstanding difference in health care in Minnesota.

During the Annual Forum, the TRUST will also recognize 18 exceptional women in health care, including Debra Rudquist, president of Amery Hospital & Clinic, part of the HealthPartners family of care. Rudquist received the Women in Health Care Leadership Award for her achievement in health care and commitment to personal leadership development and passion for empowering others.
