Community shares input on new HealthPartners Lakeview campus project

STILLWATER, Minn. – This spring, more than 1,200 people completed a community survey to share their ideas for the future of the new HealthPartners Lakeview campus project, which will be located on Highway 36 and Manning in Stillwater. Construction is scheduled to begin next year.

Participants shared a strong sense of pride and excitement about the expansion of services and the opportunity to create healthier communities. Feedback from the survey include the community’s interest in:

• Enhancing patient experience and care by keeping quality care closer to home and adding more specialized care options. Respondents also placed importance on having an overall positive experience, including comfortable waiting spaces for patients and healthy food options.
• Improving the economy and community through creating jobs and strengthening partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
• Protecting the environment with sustainable energy sources and preserving open spaces, area landscape and wildlife.
• Minimizing disruptions by managing traffic patterns near the new campus and surrounding neighborhoods.

“Our goal is to create a campus that meets the needs of the communities we serve,” said Lakeview Hospital President Brandi Lunneborg. “The best way to do that is to understand what the community loves about the current hospital and what they hope to see at our new campus. We are listening to the feedback, and it will directly shape the design of this project.”

The campus project survey is the one of the first opportunities to engage and share ideas on what the future campus will look like, and the findings and data will continue to be used to plan the future campus. Read a summary of the survey results on our expansion website.

Chicago-based architectural firm, HKS, is designing the new campus in partnership with BWBR, a local architectural firm.
