HealthPartners designates Saturday clinic time for well-child visits
HealthPartners is offering well-child visits on Saturdays in June.
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — In light of a significant decrease in childhood and adolescent vaccinations since the COVID-19 pandemic began, HealthPartners is offering well-child visits on Saturdays in June. HealthPartners, along with other health systems, are experiencing an unprecedented amount of children who are overdue for a well-child visit and/or immunizations. It’s vital to have these families come in to avoid an outbreak in avoidable diseases, such as measles.
HealthPartners clinics continue to take steps to ensure the safety of patients, through cleaning, social distancing and masking in all clinics. In addition, these well-child visits will be the only appointments in clinic that day, and families will be roomed immediately after check-in to avoid contact with others.
Clinicians met with 161 children this past Saturday and hope to continue to add to that total in the weeks ahead. These clinics will be open from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday, June 20 and next Saturday, June 27.
