HealthPartners CEO Andrea Walsh among nation’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — HealthPartners President and CEO Andrea Walsh has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for the fourth consecutive year.
The annual recognition program honors individuals who are deemed by their peers and senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential people in the industry in terms of leadership and impact. They represent a range of sectors across the health care industry including care delivery, insurance, technology companies, and policy and administration.
“It’s an honor to be recognized among this group of leaders,” Walsh said. “I share this recognition with our team of 27,000 colleagues who focus on the health and well-being of our patients, members and communities every day.”
Walsh was recognized for her leadership in several key areas, including:
- A commitment to providing care and coverage that is both simple and affordable.
- Focused efforts to increase preventive care and immunizations.
- Accelerating and expanding HealthPartners equity, inclusion and anti-racism work, ensuring the organization uses a diverse, inclusive and equitable lens when making decisions, adopting policies and developing ways of working.
- Reaching beyond the borders of the organization to address issues of economic stability, including access to quality education, food, housing and transportation.
- Advancing the future of health care by combining in-person and virtual services to provide the best experience and value to consumers.
“The 2023 honorees on our 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare reflect the providers, insurers, technology firms, government leaders, investors and others who have made oversized contributions to the industry in the past year,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare. “Our ranked list honors the C-suite decision-makers using their clout and influence to lead their organizations and make sweeping changes that affect patient care.”
