BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners is introducing a new $0 premium Medicare Advantage plan available for Medicare shoppers in the Twin Cities this year. The HealthPartners® Journey Smart (PPO) plan will reduce Medicare Part B premiums by $80 every month, while giving members a strong provider network and additional perks and benefits.

“We’re excited to offer a plan that provides comprehensive care and coverage, but also puts money back into pockets each month,” said Trisha Tyson, senior director of Medicare and Individual sales. “In a time when many seniors are facing budgetary constraints, the Smart plan supports our members by providing financial relief and the flexibility to choose how their premium dollars are spent.”

The monthly premium reduction is the highest in Minnesota for Medicare Advantage plans that include prescription drug options. The plan provides access to over 51,000 trusted doctors and clinicians and 4,800 care locations across the Twin Cities and central Minnesota. Preventive care coverage is included with no additional cost and in select tiers, members will have a $0 copay and no deductible for Part D prescription drug coverage.

In addition, the Journey Smart plan will offer benefits such as dental, eyewear, hearing, travel and SilverSneakers®. The plan is supported by local Medicare experts who continually receive high ratings in customer service by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
