HealthPartners wins national honors for environmental excellence
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — HealthPartners, a longtime leader in health care sustainability, recently received 18 sustainability awards from Practice Greenhealth, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to environmental stewardship in health care. This is the 10th consecutive year HealthPartners has earned the System for Change award, which recognizes health systems that are setting sustainability goals, tracking performance data and supporting organizational learning.
“A clean environment is an important foundation for health and well-being,” said Allison Egan, HealthPartners sustainability program manager. “These awards reflect the dedication, passion and support we have at HealthPartners as we work to keep sustainability at the forefront of our efforts.”
Additionally, five HealthPartners hospitals – Amery Hospital & Clinic, Hudson Hospital & Clinic, Lakeview Hospital, Methodist Hospital and Regions Hospital – received Top 25 Environmental Excellence awards, Practice Greenhealth’s highest honor for hospitals. The award recognizes facilities that are leading the industry in sustainability performance by prioritizing sustainability programs and illustrating that environmental excellence is rooted in their culture.

- Olivia Hospital & Clinic: Greenhealth Emerald award
- Regions Hospital: Circle of Excellence awards in Energy, Waste and Greening the OR
- Westfields Hospital & Clinic: Greenhealth Emerald award
The awards were presented at the CleanMed conference May 21-23 in Salt Lake City.
