IBM Watson Health names HealthPartners as a top 15 health system
BLOOMINGTON, Minn (April 27, 2018) – For the second year in a row, HealthPartners was named a Top 15 Health System in the nation by IBM Watson Health.
IBM Watson Health studied more than 380 health systems, 2,422 member hospitals and public data to determine the 15 top-performing health systems in the nation. The study focused on inpatient hospital outcomes, process of care, extended outcomes, efficiency and patient experience. Using independent public data and analytics, the 15 Top Health Systems study recognizes health systems that have clearly demonstrated top performance in care, efficiency and community value.
Health systems named to the Top 15 experienced fewer deaths, fewer infections and complications, shorter length of stay, shorter emergency department wait times, lower spending, and higher patient satisfaction.
As a 15 Top Health Systems, HealthPartners has set national benchmarks for the highest balanced performance in the U.S. Data from the organizations named to the list are used to develop national benchmarks for the industry.
