Westfields Hospital & Clinic recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital
NEW RICHMOND, Wis. – Westfields Hospital & Clinic has been named among the 2025 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. The annual Top 100 award program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®.
Westfields has been named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital for 10 consecutive years.
“This recognition validates the hard work and compassion I see every day as we work to improve the health and well-being of our patients and community,” said Steve Massey, president of Westfields Hospital & Clinic. “It’s a great honor to receive this recognition for 10 straight years – especially with the challenges of COVID – and it reflects the dedication of everyone who works at Westfields.”
The Chartis Center for Rural Health has been honoring critical access hospitals for 15 years, according to Executive Director Michael Topchik. “The Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals award program elevates the very best performers and helps create a roadmap for those seeking to improve financial and operational performance while continuing to care for the communities they serve,” Topchik said.
The INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. It uses publicly available data to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
