Two HealthPartners leaders recognized by Women’s Health Leadership TRUST

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Donna Zimmerman, senior vice president of government and community relations for HealthPartners, was recently honored with a 2017 Women’s Health Leadership TRUST award.

Zimmerman was recognized in the category of Consumer Empathy – Large Company. The award recognizes those who focus on developing a deep and diverse understanding of the needs, desires and values of the customer.

Zimmerman is responsible for state and federal public policy and community affairs at HealthPartners. She also works with community partners to improve population health in children’s health, mental health and health equity.

Maggie Helms, manager of health informatics for HealthPartners, was one of three finalists in the Consumer Empathy – Large Company category.

Both were selected as finalists based on their leadership in the health care community. And, for their commitment to personal leadership development and empowering others.

Founded in 1979, the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST provides networking, leadership development, career advancement and education opportunities for women leaders in health care. Over the past 35 years, the 400-plus member organization has grown into one of the most influential women’s health care organizations in Minnesota.
