Patient billing
HealthPartners files insurance claims as a courtesy for our patients. This is done with the understanding that the patient/guarantor has full responsibility for payment of the bill.
HealthPartners accepts checks, money orders, and credit or debit cards through Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
There are five options for paying your HealthPartners' clinic bill:
Payment plan options can be made by contacting Patient Accounting. If your account is not paid within our guidelines, it may be turned over to our collection agency or require further legal action. Future access to HealthPartners Clinics may be restricted due to an unresolved, unpaid balance.
If you are having trouble paying your medical bills, there are programs that may help. For more information please visit the HealthPartners Clinics Financial Assistance Program.
If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a tax credit and payment assistance to purchase health care coverage through a new marketplace called MNsure. You can find out more about MNsure at www.mnsure.org or by calling 1-855-366-7873 (1-855-3MNSURE).
On the day of your appointment, please bring the following:
- Current Driver’s License or State ID.
- Current insurance card(s).
- You will be asked to verify your address and phone number.
- You will be required to pay any copays and any outstanding balances at check in.
- If you do not have insurance you will be asked for a down payment toward your visit. The down payment amount will vary depending on the clinic or type of service. You will be billed for any remaining balance.
- If you have an outstanding balance on your account, you may receive a call from one of our representatives prior to your appointment. Future access to HealthPartners Clinics may be restricted due to an unresolved unpaid balance.
