The Nursing Student Development Clinical Pathway (Nupath) is a longitudinal intentional partnership between HealthPartners, nursing schools and their students. Nupath was created to provide serial clinical experiences and offer a variety of innovative individualized roles to maximize nursing students’ growth, development and entry into nursing careers within HealthPartners.
The Nupath program is a series of progressive steps that a nursing student can participate in to further expand their skills, knowledge and experiences while advancing towards a career in the nursing profession within HealthPartners. Each progressive step allows the student to become increasingly comfortable, enculturated and prioritized for further advancement opportunities within the Nupath program. Students may enter the program through a group school partnership or through participation in an individualized nursing student role. Nupath students should have an expressed desire to become an employee for the HealthPartners system.
The spectrum of Nupath offerings begins with health care career presentations for local high schools and community affiliates. Nursing students enrolled in nursing programs can participate in experiences including clinical rotations, observations, preceptorships and many of our paid individualized student roles. Nupath continues into supporting advanced practice nursing degree clinical experiences. No matter the nursing student level, we can offer advancement steps to suit our growing nursing colleagues.
