Christina Cusic is a Medical Spine physician at TRIA Orthopedics in Bloomington, MN. She received her MD and MPH degrees from the University of MN and is board certified in Occupational Medicine. She has a special interest in lifestyle medicine and preventive medicine and is committed to helping patients achieve spine health with exercise.

As an orthopedic surgeon, my professional areas of interests are in the care of the upper extremity; from the elbow to the tips of the fingers, and treating disorders of the bones, joints, nerves, and soft tissues. I enjoy treating patients of all ages with issues ranging from sports injuries and fractures to congenital issues to arthritic conditions. My goal is to work with my patients and to help them return to their activities with the highest possible level of function for their upper extremity.

Alicia Harrison is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota with a practice focusing on shoulder and elbow surgery. She is the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program Director and is faculty for the UofM/TRIA Sports Medicine and Shoulder Fellowship Program. She is the Orthopedic Team Physician for University of Minnesota Gopher Women’s Hockey.

Jeffrey Husband is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery at TRIA Orthopedic Center in Bloomington, MN.  He currently serves at the department chair. Additionally, Dr. Husband is an adjunct assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Dr. Husband completed medical school and an orthopedic residency at the University of Manitoba – Canada, followed by fellowship in hand surgery from Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center.

My practice focuses on hip and knee replacement surgery, including revision surgery. As Medical Director of Joint Care Services for Health Partners Care Group, I am responsible for delivering the highest quality cutting edge care for joint replacement patients across our entire organization. My real passion, however, is connecting with my patients on a personal level, and helping them maximize their ability to live an active and pain free lifestyle.

Alison is a Medication Management Pharmacist and faculty with the Methodist Family Medicine Residency program. She works at the Park Nicollet Creekside Clinic in St. Louis Park, MN, providing comprehensive medication management services, contributing medication expertise and acting as a resource to limit the burden of medication on a patient’s life. She also provides pharmacotherapy education of family medicine residents, as well as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy residents.

I specialize in lower extremity injuries, both chronic and acute. I enjoy working with patients in all age groups. I enjoy being in the outdoors with my wife and dog. I also enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, mountain biking, and playing golf, just to name a few.

I am a plastic surgeon with fellowship training in upper extremity surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgery. My subspecialty expertise focuses on fixing broken bones of the hand and wrist, treating arthritis of the hand and wrist, and caring for nerve injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. I also perform reconstructive surgery throughout the entire body. I enjoy plastic surgery because I can use my skills and creativity to improve people’s quality of life. Patients are often referred because their problems are unique and challenging and require an individualized approach. I carefully listen to patients and partner with them to develop a treatment plan that is right for them.

Sarah Martin is a Physician Assistant and Certified Yoga Therapist at TRIA Orthopedic Center in Bloomington, MN. She is a clinical lead for the Integrative Medicine program at TRIA Orthopedic Center and offers a blend of holistic and Western medicine in a clinical setting for Chronic Pain. Additional training that she incorporates into her visits includes Yoga Therapy with a certification and specialty in Chronic Pain, Meditation and Mindfulness, Functional Nutrition, Ayurveda and Lifestyle Medicine with an emphasis on the mind body connection in healing and wellness. She facilitates small group Yoga classes for Chronic Pain patients in collaboration with Physical Therapy and leads trainings for Mindfulness and Meditation as well as Yoga Therapy for Chronic Pain for health care providers.

In addition to orthopedic surgery residency, I underwent an additional year of hand and upper extremity fellowship training. This allows me to confidently treat all conditions of the upper extremity, from the shoulder to the fingertip. I particularly enjoy the increased variety of problems that occur within the field of upper extremity surgery. This includes fractures, soft tissue trauma, nerve issues and degenerative arthritis of the numerous joints of the upper extremity, including the shoulder joint. I believe that every problem, no matter how simple or complex, deserves expert care. In delivering the best care, it’s important to treat each patient as I would want one of my own family members treated.

I am a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon focused on the entire upper extremity. I help with all types of problems, from broken bones and other acute injuries, to chronic problems like arthritis, tendinitis and nerve irritation. My goal is always to improve patients’ lives. Whether this is through education, therapy, or surgery, I help patients make well-informed plans that align with their goals. I am trained in many surgical techniques including arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, complex trauma, and minimally invasive techniques.

As a primary care sports medicine doctor, I find joy in caring for the various orthopedic injuries that are part of our daily journey through life. My specialties are in acute injury, cycling medicine and ski medicine, but I care for the full spectrum of conditions. These can include injuries from serious athletic competition or chronic pain affecting workers after years of labor. Having worked with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, and being a competitive athlete myself, I recognize the importance of getting people back in the game, whether that means athletics or just life itself.

Marc Tompkins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota and TRIA Orthopedic Center. Clinical and research interests for Dr. Tompkins include the treatment of sports medicine injuries in all areas of the body although his practice focuses on complex reconstructive and joint preservation surgery in the knee and shoulder. In particular, he has expertise in patellofemoral conditions, ligament reconstruction, meniscus injuries, and cartilage problems, and his clinical research emphasizes these areas. He completed his orthopedic residency and a trauma fellowship at Brown University, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Vakhshori is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. She completed her fellowship training in hand and upper extremity at New York University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Prior to fellowship training, she completed residency training at the University of Southern California, which included one year dedicated to basic science research. In her free time, Dr. Vakhshori enjoys yoga, crocheting, and spending time with her family and dog.

Thomas Walsh is a primary care sports medicine physician at TRIA Orthopedics in Woodbury and Stillwater. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and has presented at their national conference in the past. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and St. Joseph’s Hospital family medicine residency, he completed his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

David Wells is an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner at TRIA Orthopedics. He has been with TRIA since 2016 and specialized in the Hand/Wrist/Elbow. He is a member of the Minnesota APRN Coalition, American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is a graduate of The University of Wyoming with his Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

Dr. Wilczynski is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand. He attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate education. Dr. Wilczynski remained at the University of Chicago for an additional year to earn a Master of Arts where he first developed an interest in the anatomy and function of the hand. The following year he began his medical education at The Medical College of Wisconsin. Upon completion of his MD, he moved to Atlanta for orthopedic residency at Emory University. After residency, Dr. Wilczynski completed a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at Barnes Jewish Hospital (Washington University) in St. Louis. He then began full time practice in surgery of the hand and upper extremity at TRIA Orthopedic Center where he has been for the past 13 years.

I did my undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences and Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. Following college, I spent three years as a research assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Deland, MD, and Scott Ellis, MD. It was here that my passion for orthopedics and specifically foot and ankle started. I went on to medical school at the University of Michigan and residency at the University of Minnesota. Following residency, I went back to New York City and completed my Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery. While in fellowship, I was trained by world experts in ankle replacements.

Dr. Wozniczka is a board certified orthopedic hand surgeon practicing at TRIA Orthopedics in Bloomington and St. Louis Park. She completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Minnesota and a hand fellowship at Oregon Health Science University.
