At HealthPartners, we’re committed to ensuring observers gain basic knowledge of the health care system while protecting the safety and confidentiality of our patients, members and community. Our colleagues may volunteer to provide observation experiences throughout our organization.
Observers are individuals seeking a learning experience through direct observation of a HealthPartners colleague. Learning is through listening and observing only and no patient/customer care is provided.
Mentors are individuals at HealthPartners who choose to offer guidance and support to assist others with career development, learning from past experiences and exploring interest in health care careers. This can be with observers that are HealthPartners colleagues and those outside of the organization.
If you have a pre-approved experience, follow the steps below to get started:
- Create or update your profile in SS4L as a learner using this Getting Started guide
- Notify your mentor to approve your profile (they can do this under their “Role Approvals” menu in SS4L)
- Your mentor will create your observation experience and you will be notified to log in and complete the necessary compliance and onboarding tasks. Please ensure these tasks are completed prior to coming onsite for your experience.
If you are wanting to request an observation experience, please fill out the HealthPartners Observer Request Form.
