With 80 to 95% of all medical visits being stress-related, I work with patients to strengthen their resiliency and self-efficacy through managing the physiological and psychological aspects of stress and pain. I enjoy working with patients and athletes who want to better understand their physiology and how that impacts their day-to-day functioning. This can include pain management, peak performance training and rehabilitation. I use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help patients bring their thoughts and behaviors into alignment with their values. I enjoy empowering patients to achieve their goals in treatment. I strongly believe in evidence-based practices, progress monitoring and feedback. I believe that therapy is most effective when the patient and provider are both actively engaged and collaborative.
