Make a difference: Volunteer at Olivia Hospital & Clinic

Our volunteers are community-minded people who donate their time, skills and talents to support Olivia Hospital & Clinic. Whether it’s for an hour, a month or something they do weekly, each and every volunteer makes a positive impact on our patients’ lives and the health of our community.

Volunteers set an example for all of us. They work simply for the satisfaction of helping others – and we are deeply appreciative. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, including assisting with special projects, making blankets for patients, welcoming visitors and answering their questions, and many more. Find out how you can make a difference today.

Becoming a volunteer

We view our volunteers as members of our Olivia Hospital & Clinic health care team. Because our patients’ health and safety is of utmost importance, our volunteers go through a screening and orientation process similar to that of our hospital staff.

Volunteer screening and orientation takes about three to four weeks from the time we receive your completed application. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, and commit to working a regular weekly schedule for three to six months.

We’re looking for volunteers with:

  • Positive attitudes
  • Open mindedness and flexibility
  • Maturity and respect for others
  • Genuine desire to help others
  • Sincere interest in Olivia Hospital & Clinic

Volunteer roles

There are many ways to share your talents at Olivia Hospital & Clinic. Whether you have prior experience or are just starting out, we provide training and support for every role, so it’s easy to get started.

Available roles may change depending on current needs. Opportunities include serving as a greeter or information desk attendant, being a hospice volunteer, supporting the foundation, and more.

Volunteer benefits

Volunteers are an important part of the Olivia Hospital & Clinic team and we couldn’t do what we do without you. The main motivating factor for our volunteers is simply to give back to the community, but some additional benefits of volunteering with us include:
