You work hard to support your loved ones, but sometimes you need support, too. That’s where your Employee Assistance Program (or Member Assistance Program) can help.

Included with most HealthPartners plans, your EAP or MAP is a no-cost, confidential benefit that’s available 24/7 to:

  • Help you and your family navigate life’s challenges, including mental health struggles, financial difficulties or workplace stress
  • Offer assistance when you’re not sure where to start with something, including everyday life situations or when you’re just busy
  • Connect you with further resources personalized to your situation

Your confidential EAP or MAP is available 24/7, every day. No referrals are needed, and there’s no extra cost to you.

What your EAP or MAP can help with

Whether working through something at work or at home, outside support can make a big difference. EAPs and MAPs are no-cost, confidential services meant to make your life less stressful.

For example, your EAP or MAP can help with:

  • Emotional well-being – Get the support you need after an illness, work relocation, birth of your baby or other big life change. Resources are also available for challenges with mental health, stress, anxiety, depression, and drug or alcohol use.
  • Family and relationships – Find resources to help you navigate your child’s development, locate reputable childcare or elder care, get support after a divorce or breakup, and much more.
  • Work and career – Learn how to transition after a job loss, cope with work-related stress, achieve a better work-life balance or get help defining your career path.
  • Saving time when life gets hectic – Need to find a good summer camp for your kids? Interested in getting a housekeeper or tutor? Looking for somewhere to get your goldendoodle groomed? Whatever you need help with, your EAP is there to support you and be a resource.
  • Financial and legal concerns – Get answers to questions about budgeting, purchasing a home, debt recovery, saving for retirement, family law, making a will, estate planning and more.

Looking to bring EAP benefits to your company?

An EAP adds more value to your company’s benefits package beyond just traditional coverage. Employee resources via an EAP can help workers manage stress effectively, be more productive and live a healthier lifestyle – on and off the job. That can translate to enhanced well-being, more satisfaction at work, fewer employee absences, improvements in performance, higher employee retention, a better company culture and lower overall costs.
