Overview/research interests: Dr. Rindal’s research interests include implementing current evidence into daily practice, pragmatic trials utilizing clinical decision support, practice-based research and utilization of HealthPartners’ integrated medical and dental databases to examine the relationship of oral health and other diseases.

Dr. Rindal serves as Regional Director, Midwest Region of the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network, funded through the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and administered through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The network involves community dentists in research, addressing topics relevant to their patients and the problems they see.
